A lot of these things are directly against what the fitness industry has told you.

But God's Kingdom has always been an 'upside down' and 'inside out' kind of kingdom.

So do you see why the Outside -> In approach that the health and fitness industry promotes is not going to work?

To get different results it is going to require a different approach. An Inside -> Out approach

Which will require you to erase some limiting beliefs, old habits, and lies that you've heard from other people and places.

It's a good thing that God already knew that we would need a lot of that when He told us "not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2)

So before we move on, let's clear the air on some of the most common lies out there when it comes to weight loss or getting fit:

Because even if we know how important the spiritual and mental components are, the physical components still matter a lot too.

And most Average Joe Personal Trainers and Popular Bootcamps are not telling you this.

Ready for it?

1) You don’t need cardio

It's a myth that cardio leads to any quicker or better results when it comes to weight loss. If you like it, great, but there's a better way. The only cardio we ask for to supplement our exercise program is a walk on most days

2) You can actually eat the foods you enjoy (within reason of course)

Our clients thrive on what we call 'flexible dieting' that focuses on maximizing metabolism. No foods are off limits, but as with your finances there is a budget to follow. This allows our clients to see incredible results without feeling limited

3) You don’t need to workout more than 2-3x/week

Our clients see amazing transformation on our Inside Out Strength Protocol which involves AT MOST 3x/week of days at the gym. Some clients even thrive with only 2x/week. Our method prioritizes compound movements, done at the right intensity, to promote maximum fat loss and muscle building for our clients. Does that sound too good to be true?

It’s not.
I learned this firsthand myself on my own journey. I've been inside a gym 4-5x/week for well over half my life at this point.

I've tried keto, intermittent fasting, whole 30, paleo, low fat, 6 meals a day, one meal a day, biohacking, bulletproof coffee, bodybuilding, powerlifting, kettlebell training, CrossFit, bootcamp classes like OTF/F45, running, miles of walking lunges each week (literally), 75 hard program, 330 am workouts, 8pm workouts, cold plunges...

And that’s all just been over the past few years and after a career playing college football. I’ve done just about everything but giving up meat (There’s certain things I won’t do and we’ll never ask you to do. We love our friends that are vegan but that’s not our approach here 😉)

But believe it or not, for me, the one thing I hadn't tried was doing less - but doing it better.

When I stumbled across people I respected promoting this style of training, I thought they were crazy.

I had to work harder, do more, and willpower myself to better health and more success.

At least that's what I kept telling myself...

But what I was actually doing was blocking my blessings. I wasn't allowing God into it.

The harder I tried, the further I seemed to get from my goals.

One of our favorite clients to work with is Nelson (we wish we could brag on all of our clients)

Nelson first came to us with knee and back pain - and very out of shape.

He grew up extremely active with tennis and other sports, but quickly became less active when landing a great job after school.

After exercising far less than he ever had, no longer having a metabolism that could outrun his food choices, and having their daughter - he soon realized his lifestyle wasn’t sustainable.

He had gained weight, his joints hurt, and worst of all it was impacting how he was showing up with his daughter.

He had the realization that he needed help when he was out of breath and his knees hurt one night when carrying his daughter upstairs.

He is back up to biking 20 miles, and even carried his daughter…on his shoulders… for an entire 5k walk.

Another day a few weeks back he carried her throughout Disney Land for an entire day (I mean that’s the ultimate test right?)

Where Are You Located?
Our gym is located in Carlsbad (beautiful North County San Diego) just west of the I-5, between the Poinsettia and Palomar Airport exits. We're less than a 10 minute walk to the beach, perfect for a post-workout surf or dip in the ocean!

What If I'm Currently In Pain/Injured?
This program is designed AND supervised by Doctors of PT that have the highest knowledge in both exercise performance, weight loss/muscle gain, and injury prevention/longevity. If you have a current pain or injury you will be coached through modifications that allow you to workout while actually seeing improvement in your pain/injury over time.
How Many Days Do I Need To Workout?
Most of our challenge members commit to working out 3x/week during the challenge, while some that are newer to working out or have busy schedules will choose 2x/week. We actually don't allow people to work out more than 3x/week with us because the program is designed for maximum intensity and efficiency within those 2-3 hours, so that you can build more muscle and burn more fat during your time spent recovering (and living your life).
My Schedule Is Busy, Are There Workouts I Can Do On My Own?
Yes - all of our workouts are delivered through an app that houses all of your workouts. This means that you can perform the workouts from anywhere, making it easy to catch up if you have a busy schedule or travel often. That being said, those that get the best results are the ones that show up regularly to our Studio to receive expert supervision, coaching, and technique improvements from our Strength Docs.
